Plate, Clad & Forming — SA516, SA387, Clad Plate, Heads

Heavy plate, explosion-bonded clad plate and pressed heads / dished ends — the structural core of pressure vessels and reactors, supplied.

All Products supplied with EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates, optional 3.2 witnessed by ABS, DNV, BV, LR, SGS or TÜV.

We supply carbon and alloy plate (SA516, SA387) and explosion-bonded clad plate (carbon-steel base + corrosion-resistant layer of 316L, 825, 625 or Hastelloy). We also provide hot-pressed heads (ellipsoidal, torispherical, hemispherical dished ends) and plate forming/rolling. Combined with our processing chain you receive inspection-ready components instead of raw stock.

Shell

Shell courses are rolled and welded from plate — carbon, alloy, stainless or clad — with longitudinal and circumferential seams, and weld overlay or cladding where the specification calls for it. Supplied to drawing or to the applicable pressure-vessel code, with NDT and heat treatment as required.

  • Rolled shell courses from CS / AS / SS and clad plate
  • Longitudinal & circumferential seams, weld overlay / cladding
  • Diameter, length and thickness to project drawing
  • PWHT and RT / UT / MT / PT per specification

Head

Pressed and spun heads formed from plate, supplied machined, bevelled and ready to weld into the shell. Ellipsoidal, torispherical, hemispherical, conical and flat types in carbon, alloy, stainless and clad material.

  • Ellipsoidal 2:1, torispherical, hemispherical, conical, flat
  • Hot or cold formed; normalized / stress-relieved as specified
  • Straight flange, weld bevel and machining to drawing
  • CS / AS / SS / clad supplied to match the shell

Process & Certification: Plate and clad supplied with EN 10204 3.1 (base and clad), bond-shear test reports for clad, and hydrostatic/NDT on formed heads. Optional 3.2 witnessed inspection.

Industries: Pressure vessels · Reactors & separators · Heat exchangers · Storage tanks · Desalination & FGD · Refineries & petrochemical.

Q: What is clad plate and when is it used?
A: Clad plate joins a low-cost carbon-steel base with a thin corrosion-resistant layer (e.g. 316L, 625). It gives the strength of carbon steel at a fraction of the solid-alloy cost for large vessels.
Q: Can you supply formed heads to our drawing?
A: Yes — we hot-press ellipsoidal, torispherical and hemispherical heads in carbon steel, stainless or clad, to ASME VIII dimensions.
Q: Do you provide HIC/SSC-tested plate?
A: Yes — SA516 with NACE TM0284 HIC and TM0177 SSC testing can be arranged for sour-service vessels.
